Free leave tracking.
A clearer starting point.
Keep requests and balances in one editable workbook. Start with a free leave tracker, then decide whether your team needs a connected e-leave approval system.
The tracker is a manual file with formulas. YavaHR’s connected leave workflow is part of the free-core model and is in development.
FREE LEAVE & E-LEAVE OPTIONS
What does a free leave system need to do?
A leave system needs to make the request, the decision and the balance understandable. A spreadsheet can be a practical starting point when one person maintains it and the team has a clear way to ask for approval. A connected e-leave system handles the shared process inside an app.
YavaHR’s free workbook gives you a manual record of requests and entered policy balances. You decide how many days a request uses and record its status. The formulas count approved days; they do not decide entitlement or calculate working days from dates.
THE FREE TOOLKIT
A little help.
For the task in front of you.
A tracker and a connected e-leave app serve different needs.
| Starting point | What it helps with | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| A manual tracker | Record dates, entered days, reviewer and status in a file. | Your team manages the approval conversation and updates the workbook. |
| A connected e-leave app | Keep employees, balances and review steps inside one shared process. | Check the live product’s policies, permissions, notifications, limits and price before adoption. |
HOW TO USE IT
A little preparation.
A clearer result.
Set the opening figures
Enter the policy balance and any agreed adjustment for each employee. Check the correct period before using the file.
Record the request
Add the dates, manually checked days and reviewer. Keep a pending request separate from an approved absence.
Record the decision
Update the status after review. The remaining balance changes when the request is marked Approved.
A few practical
questions.
Is a free eleave app included?
Connected leave is part of YavaHR’s free-core model. The application is in development; contact us about access and currently supported workflows. The editable leave tracker is available now.
Does the tracker calculate annual leave entitlement?
No. You enter an entitlement or opening balance you have already checked. The workbook also does not calculate public holidays, part-time rules or the number of working days between dates.
Do pending requests reduce the balance?
The workbook’s used-leave total counts valid Approved requests. Pending, rejected and cancelled requests are not deducted. Keep status labels consistent and correct rows flagged for review.
Can employees approve their own requests in the file?
The file does not enforce user roles or permissions. Agree who reviews requests and who is allowed to update the master workbook.
